Wright Broadcast worked alongside Grayling and the Rail Delivery Group – the membership body for the British Rail Industry, we helped to promote the positive impact that travelling and exploring the outdoors can have on the mental health of students who have recently left home for the first time to begin their studies.
Coinciding with the start of the university year, we arranged a series of interviews with social influencer and TV personality Woody Cook – a student himself, to discuss the difficulties that students can have when starting university, for example homesickness and talk about his own experiences of how he was able to navigate these challenges.
Woody was able to highlight this issue further through use of consumer research and discuss the benefits of getting outdoors and exploring the area in and around your university whilst positioning the UK’s railways as a great way for students to get out and about during term time.
RESULTS – Secured back-to-back interviews with more than 20 broadcasters including widespread coverage across the BBC radio network including BBC Radio Leeds, BBC Radio West Midlands, and BBC Radio Newcastle amongst others as well as university radio stations including Siren Radio.
